We are delighted to welcome you to the dormitory of the Studierendenwerk Freiburg (SWFR)! Our Dormitory Mentoring (DM) helps you settle in quickly and make new friends. 

Our dedicated dormitory mentors are ready to support you in your first steps in Freiburg. Whether you have questions about German bureaucracy, need help with integration, or just want to meet new people – we are here for you! 

By doing activities together, the DM helps residents get to know each other, make new friends, and feel more like a community in the dormitories.

What do we offer? 

• Welcome and information events:  Get to know your roommates, your dormitory, and the surroundings.
• Support with questions and problems: We help you with questions and problems related to dormitory life, university life, and bureaucracy.
• Help with integration: Become part of our vibrant dormitory community.
• Exciting activities and events in the semester program: Look forward to painting evenings, excursions, sports events, and much more!

The DM is specifically aimed at all (international) newcomers in the dormitory. 

However, ALL residents are invited! – Often even across dormitories.
